| I don't know any authors whose first draft is also their final draft. Beyond that, there's the editorial process which can result in new scenes being added, and other ones being cut. I'm sharing some scenes that never made the final cut, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, it was a matter of a scene being a way for me to get to know my characters. Other times, it was simply because a scene wasn't needed. Or maybe a character appeared who wasn't needed any longer. No matter the reason, I'm glad I'm not a sculptor working in stone. In this part of my website, I'm sharing some scenes you can't read in the finished products. |
