The
plot is an interesting twist on a police procedural, giving the
reader an insider’s view of the workings of the Orange County
Sheriff’s Office. But the main appeal of the
book is the characters. They are layered and
complex—real people with real emotions. The
author has taken care to show Colleen and Graham’s developing
love affair as much more than just sex. As a
result, when they do make love it’s the culmination of an
emotional journey from pain to joy. |
| Terry Odell’s novels are listed as
romantic suspense. However, I think she writes action-packed
suspense and intrigue with just enough romance sprinkled
throughout for an amazing read. The fast-pace drama of NOWHERE TO HIDE will keep you spellbound from the first page to the end. Along the way you’ll think you’re on a roller coaster ride at Disney World. The ups and downs, twists and turns of this case will have you wondering, guessing, hoping, and pleading, not to mention a little breathless too. Mason Canyon, Thoughts in Progress |

| The inner
conflict with the heroine and the surrounding suspense make for
a chilling, suspenseful read. It left me guessing until the end,
and has a perfect blend of romance and intrigue. Fast paced,
energetic, and full of mystery; fans of romantic suspense should
not miss out on this one. Nikki, Siren Book Reviews |
Odell starts with realism
and maintains it throughout without the quick fixes. She doesn't
use scenario shifts to cover territory a reader wants to know
about. This author continues to be one who meets all my
expectations for a great story. |
Terry
Odell creates characters that the reader can empathize with and
cheer on as they cope with overwhelming challenges. She also
writes a love scene that makes one apt to agree with Colleen
that “sex rocks”. Her writing style is so smooth that she seems
to disappear and the characters come alive so the reader is in
the moment with what is going on. Camellia, Long and Short Reviews |
