Scenes: "Relationships" As I mentioned with "Out of Sight", the iVillage Short Story Board posed weekly challenges. "Relationships has its origins in the prompt to use "a long walk on a cold night" in a story, word length not to exceed 2000 words. This was one of only a few stories that approached the 'romance' genre Wild Rose publishes, so I dragged it out and expanded it—it's now close to 3 times its original length.
